General information

Any dishes not shown on this menu can be arranged to your satisfaction with the help of our manager. The menus shown are suggestions. We can prepare a custom menu for you.

The hall can be set up in several different arrangements to accommodate the type and size of your function. Round tables (which seat 8) are available for parties up to 216 people.
Larger parties require the use of 8 foot rectangular tables which seat 8 or 10 depending on the total number of guests. We keep a photo album with pictures of different set ups and decorating ideas. Please feel free to drop by during office hours and have a look.

Tables are set with linen tablecloths and paper napkins. For a more elegant touch, linen napkins are available for rental. They are available in white.

The Centre staff will complete the table setting for you including pouring wine for toasts if you so desire. If you have extra items, such as matchbooks or candies for each setting, we would be pleased to place those for you as well. Decorating the tables is the responsibility of the party holding the function.

Table tops may be decorated with centerpieces and the skirtings on other tables (e.g. guest book table, head table, cake table) may be decorated with ribbons and bows, streamers, garlands, etc.

Extension cords will not be supplied by the Columbus Centre.

Bubbles are not allowed because of the hazzard they cause to your guests. Bubbles make the floor very slippery and also takes away the shine of the dance floor which it makes it difficult for your guests to dance.

Balloon bouquets, floral arrangements or cut flowers are just a few examples of what may be used for centerpieces. We have bud vases available for use. You may use ribbons or doilies but confetti (paper or metallic), sparkles or glitter may not be used. No decorations and/or banners may be attached to the walls or ceilings.

If you plan on using candles as a centerpiece, the flame must be enclosed. For a nominal charge, the Centre can supply large snifters with floating candles for virtually every colour scheme.
